This disclaimer defines important limits on MaidServSA's responsibility and should be read with the Terms of Service.

1. General Disclaimer

MaidServSA provides a technology platform connecting users. We do not directly provide domestic cleaning services.

2. No Warranty

The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of uninterrupted availability, suitability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

3. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, MaidServSA is not liable for:

  • Service quality disputes between CLIENT and MAID
  • Late arrival, non-performance, or cancellation by users
  • Property damage or theft allegations arising from user interactions
  • Personal injury claims arising from in-person work arrangements
  • Payment defaults or payment fraud between users
  • Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses

Any mandatory consumer rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 (CPA) remain applicable and are not excluded.

4. Verification Disclaimer

  1. MaidServSA may display profile fields, CV uploads, and ratings.
  2. MaidServSA does not guarantee that all user-supplied statements are complete, accurate, or independently verified.
  3. Formal criminal background screening is not guaranteed by default platform functionality.

5. Payment Disclaimer

  1. Payments are made directly between users.
  2. MaidServSA does not hold funds and is not a payment intermediary.
  3. Users are responsible for payment proof, disputes, and tax treatment.

6. Third-Party Services

MaidServSA integrates with third-party infrastructure including:

  • Google Cloud Storage
  • Google Maps services
  • Google Gemini AI services

MaidServSA is not responsible for outages, policy changes, or failures in third-party systems.

7. AI Content Disclaimer

AI-generated suggestions (job descriptions, application messages, candidate summaries) are informational drafts only. Users are responsible for final content quality, legality, and appropriateness.

8. Security Limitations

MaidServSA applies reasonable safeguards, but no system is immune from risk. Current safeguards include browser-based sign-in and standard access controls; users must also protect their own credentials and devices.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold MaidServSA harmless against claims, losses, or costs arising from your unlawful conduct, policy breaches, or misuse of the platform.

10. Force Majeure

MaidServSA is not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control (for example natural disasters, power/network outages, government actions, or infrastructure failures).
